Raster Vs Vector in Photoshop and Illustrator

Raster vs vector in Photoshop and Illustrator. If you need an image you can reduce and enlarge with no loss of quality you need a vector. This is done in Illustrator. The scalability is extremely better then the raster.

Raster vs VectorVector on the left and raster on the right. You can see the pixels when the image is enlarged.

On the other hand the raster is used in photography and with Photoshop. These images are sized for specific areas and will not enlarge well beyond their original size. Reduction is not an issue.

So…the bottom line is…do you need scalability? If yes then consider the vector.
