Tatsuo Horiuchi Excel Art

I know this is not done with the traditional art/design software promoted on this site, but it is art and amazing to me anyway. Japanese Artist Tatsuo Horiuchi produces his art in the Microsoft Excel Program. That right…an accounting program. How? By using the autoshape function!

He said he couldn’t afford Photoshop so he had to find another way to channel his creativity. Oh yes, I forgot to mention he is 73 and started learning this 13 years ago after retiring.

You can visit his site, but it is in Japanese or see more work here: http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~cbl97790/shinsakutenjishitu.htm – http://http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~cbl97790/shinsakutenjishitu2.htm  It is still in Japanese, but you can see the work.

Let me know what you think of his work.
